Senior Procurement Specialist
Location: Greenville, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our client in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in both direct and indirect procurement, with a strong background in negotiating contracts and Master Service Agreements (MSAs). This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services necessary for our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage procurement activities for both direct and indirect categories.Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.Negotiate contracts, MSAs, and other agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs.Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms.Monitor and report on procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement.Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on both direct and indirect categories.Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and MSAs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
