Job Description
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to develop and implement procurement strategies specifically for capital projects. The ideal candidate will have experience negotiating high bids and has worked with multiple suppliers and vendors.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects.Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and select suppliers.Negotiate contracts (MSA's), terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues and ensuring compliance with contract terms.Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market conditions.Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier contracts, performance metrics, and project expenditures.Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and project status.Resolve any disputes or issues related to procurement, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.Essential SkillsProcurementPurchasingSupply chainIndirect procurementDirect procurementAdditional Skills & Qualifications10+ years of relevant experienceProactive and results-driven mindsetStrong communication skillsAbility to collaborate with multiple teamsWork Environment
The position is fully onsite at the Greenville, NC site. This is a 12 month contract with potential to extend or go direct with the client.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $67.00
