Do you have a passion for news, lifestyle, events and business? The Custom Productions Unit is looking for a Senior Producer who is excited about creating engaging content while working with sponsors and partners across NBCUniversal News Group platforms. The Custom Productions Unit is the heart of sponsored content for NBCUniversal News Group, creating engaging content and events and developing new revenue models for all platforms. The Senior Producer will serve as the editorial lead and front line of storytelling excellence for the team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of editorial planning and execution including: helping producers conceptualize segment, series and event ideas, overseeing scripting & editing processes, supporting production on-set and on-location as needed and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders (including executives, legal, standards, clients and on-air talent) to bring highly-produced strategic content and events to life while maintaining the highest editorial standards possible. The Senior Producer will engage in excellent creation, collaboration, copy editing, team management and more.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Manage and support producers in all aspects of their productions from live and taped segments to custom series and live events
+ Oversee conceptualizing content, scripting segments, writing copy for on-air announcements or on-site programming
+ Maintain excellence in copy editing, scripting, and communications
+ Track deliverables and manage deadlines
+ Oversee recap materials for clients
+ Work closely with legal & standards departments to ensure highest standards of work
+ Handle confidential information and propriety materials with strong instincts and good discretion
+ Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

Salary range: $135,000 - $190,000 (bonus eligible)
+ 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
+ 8+ years’ experience in news, writing, or related fields
+ Strong experience managing people and creating positive team dynamics
+ Great ideator and creative problem-solver
+ Experience using iNews, Media Central, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Avid, Slack, and Google Docs
+ Proficiency with hybrid meeting tools including Microsoft Teams and Zoom
+ Events experience is a plus
