Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated senior producer to help lead our flagship political program, Balance of Power.
You will be responsible for monitoring top stories of key interest to our audience, taking the initiative on covering breaking political news, finding the appropriate internal and external voices under deadline pressure, overseeing a daily rundown and input from other producers, working with anchors and supporting the political news director, and guiding the live show in the control room.
You should have a broad interest in global news with a specialized focus on politics, finance and the economy.
You embrace challenges, are a self-starter, can make split-second decisions, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are an effective and collegial communicator across a global newsroom.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:  -  Build a daily show that covers the top political stories of the day, while focusing on the Bloomberg lane of global finance and the economy - Oversee the building of a daily show rundown and segments within the program - Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content -  Pitch newsmakers and stories - Work with internal voices in DC and other bureaus in the US - Develop relationships within the business, finance communities globally -  Work closely with the political news director, other executive producers and senior producers in the newsroom, the show's associate producer and talent - Be a leader in the newsroom in developing content, helping others to elevate their skills and working across teams -  Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment - Be able to pivot and react as news events evolve
YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:  -  Bachelor's degree or equivalent -  At least 5 years of experience producing for live TV in a live broadcast control room - Experience with ENPS or equivalent broadcast rundown systems and graphics - Knowledge of and a keen interest in domestic and international politics -  Knowledge of and interest in business news, the economy and the financial markets -  Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure -  Flexibility with hours and start times

Salary Range = 120000 - 150000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
