Senior Product Compliance Engineer

Stryker is hiring a Senior Product Compliance Engineer in Redmond, WA! In this role, you will develop and deploy environmental strategies, programs and systems to comply with international, federal, state and local product environmental regulations, customer expectations, and company policies, initiatives and goals. Major areas of emphasis are directives and regulations such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Proposition 65, EU MDD, and EU-MDR. You will lead the implementation of quality system process, and technology infrastructure to assure continued effective operations and compliance in the product environmental compliance domain. Resolve escalations as well as day to day issue and questions related to product environmental compliance and environmental stewardship including tender requests, customer support and periodic reporting.

Work Flexibility: Hybrid. This role requires reasonable proximity to our Stryker facility. You should be comfortable working onsite multiple days per week.

What you will do: 

Establish and ensure effective, sustainable and documented Product Environmental Compliance and environmental stewardship systems, programs and processes are in place for Emergency Care facilities worldwide.Plan, develop, implement, document, train, communicate and monitor compliance with international, federal, state and local product environmental regulations and product compliance standards.Design, implement, and maintain quality system operating procedures to assure effective and compliant processes for environmental compliance.  Rationalize and or integrate processes with Stryker Medical processes.Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems used to track and report environmental compliance and environmental stewardship programs.Assess emerging environmental trends and new and changing Product Environmental Compliance regulations to provide leadership in driving changes into both new product development and product sustaining plans.Oversee and / or execute submission of required reports to the regulating authorities including reporting under Directives such as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Battery, and Packaging.Respond to questionnaires from tenders, customers, and special interest groups ranging from environmental stewardship initiatives to material content of products.Respond to environmental questionnaires, inspections or audits from global regulatory authorities.

What are we looking for: 

Required

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related discipline.2+ years of experience in local, state, federal and international Product Environmental compliance practice.

Preferred

Working knowledge of regulations and best practices in the following areas: RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Battery, Packaging, Proposition 65, EU MDD, and EU-MDRExperience establishing, training, and supporting Quality Systems processes in support of Product Environmental complianceManufacturing backgroundPrior experience with FDA and medical device manufacturing requirements

$88,800.00 - $142,300.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
