Job Description

Get to Know the Team
We are a team of product designers working across diverse workstreams, including navigation, maps, search, crowdsourced map data such as POIs and street imagery, Internet of Things (IoT), geo tools, and hardware design. We are using cutting-edge technologies such as AI and computer vision to build the most efficient mobility and delivery platform for the people in Southeast Asia.

As a Senior Product Designer in the Geo Design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Grab’s IoT solutions across both software and hardware platforms. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Ensure the development of the right solutions by addressing value, usability, feasibility, and viability, while negotiating trade-offs with minimal waste — all without compromising business and user goals.

Confidently advocate for design decisions and effectively influence senior stakeholders through clear, evidence-based rationale.

Drive cross-functional collaboration across domains, functions, and teams by facilitating alignment, workshops, and exploratory discussions that enhance efficiency and shared understanding.

Lead problem exploration, solution discovery, and delivery with autonomy, navigating complexity independently while balancing both user and business needs.

Develop problem-framing approaches that unlock new ways of thinking, influencing not just execution but also strategic direction across teams.

Collaborate closely with Design Research & Operations to validate design assumptions through user insights.

Design simple yet elegant solutions to complex problems — seamlessly integrating multiple products into unified experiences that unlock new value.

Produce high-quality visual designs that enhance the consistency, credibility, and craftsmanship of user experiences.

Utilize a variety of prototyping tools and methods to create highly interactive, realistic prototypes with complex functionality for both testing and stakeholder buy-in.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Minimum of 4+ years in product design experience in consumer or enterprise products.

An excellent portfolio demonstrating design work with a strong design sense, shipped work, and impact, showcasing exceptional design ability.

Ability to craft strong design presentations and storytelling by keeping users in mind.

Strong track record of iterative design, working closely with product, tech, and business partners from inception through implementation.

Good understanding of web technologies, Android and iOS platforms.

Adept at solving complex problems and great attention to detail.

Proficient in Figma, Illustrator, and other design tools.

Portfolio Requirements
Please provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. Ensure your portfolio includes clear context, outlines your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrates how you go from problem discovery to launch.
