# Senior Product Designer - Global Scaled Solutions We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Designer to join our dedicated, cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers across the globe. As Product Designers, we tackle interaction and service design challenges and work on big new ideas that will transform how people use our products. As a Senior Product Designer, you can drive real change for people, enhance the processes that get us there, and contribute to product innovations. Our team focuses on frameworks and scalability, enhancing craft and quality. With deep product knowledge, you will be expected to quickly understand project requirements, help our team navigate trade-offs, uncover insights, manage stakeholder relationships, and consistently deliver customer value. Your expertise in design systems, technical feasibility, and efficient design processes will set a high-quality standard for our team and organisation. ### About the Team Global Scaled Solutions team is building marketplace and platform technologies that enable the efficient running of scaled operations, such as data annotation for AI/ML, localisation/internationalization, testing, document processing, digitisation of back office work, map data editing, etc, for all Uber’s lines of businesses and external enterprise customers across industries. We create these truly global opportunities for knowledge work and plan to reach underserved workers traditionally kept out of the knowledge economy due to social/geographic disadvantage and limited formal education. On the other side, we provide external clients with industry-leading quality, price, and agility for their knowledge work demands. ### Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of experience building products for web and mobile interfaces - Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods - Experience working and collaborating in a tech environment - A portfolio showcasing high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work ### Preferred Qualifications - A degree in HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field - Experience designing Web-based products - Experience working with UX Researchers and knowledge of user testing methods - Ability to lead ambiguous work streams and actively collaborate to drive alignment - Experience designing experiments or A/B testing - Experience contributing to design systems and implementing system components with engineers - Highly proficient in storytelling and articulating design work and rationale - Experience advocating for customer needs in product solutions with cross-functional teams. ### What the Candidate Will Do - **Scope:** Work on projects of all sizes, from problems that are well-known to those more complex and conceptual, while leading a design roadmap in your area. - **Process:** Build a deep understanding of the historically and systemically excluded customers you are designing for through data and research. Lead the end-to-end design process, solicit and incorporate feedback from experts, translate your designs to build with engineers, and work flexibly with a variety of teams. Design at all levels of fidelity and practice good judgment on making tradeoffs. - **Craft:** Deliver designs that are innovative and elegant, buildable and scalable, and are thoroughly documented. Have a strong understanding of business, data, and engineering requirements, and create experiences that deliver customer value. - **Efficiency:** Prioritize and manage your time efficiently, operate with high autonomy, and easily adapt to challenges. - **Communication and partnership:** Communicate with clarity and persuasiveness, and effectively present your work and rationale to stakeholders at all levels. Proactively collaborate with your team, manager, and cross-functional partners. Facilitate design sessions, and collaborate with other designers.
