Role PurposeThe Development Associate role will lead and support projects and provide technical leadership for a development of next generation lithography products in the Advanced Optics business. This is a critical role that focuses on development and launch of new products for EUV applications and assist in building product and process development capability. This role is a combination of process development, project management, technical leadership and technology transfer to Engineering and Manufacturing while leveraging a cross-functional team. The individual should also be able to provide technical support to other functions such as Research, Engineering and Manufacturing organizations through transferring processes and knowledge as needed. The person is expected to have broad technical skills and experience as well as strong interpersonal skills to work with interdisciplinary teams of diverse backgrounds. In addition, the individual is expected to have excellent presentation and communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Development of new product/process capability for EUV applications Engage in process development work including experimental planning, execution, data analysis, and communicating results providing impact Collaborate with Research, Engineering and Operational groups in developing and transferring fundamental understandings from evaluating new process and/or product concepts and be the champion for new process technology adoption. Lead engineers and technicians as required and be responsible for their daily activities and drive to deliver the final outcome.
Travel Requirements: 30-50% domestic travel
Required Education and Skills Ph.D. in Ceramics or Materials Science, Physical/inorganic Chemistry with 5-8 years of relevant experience Demonstrated expertise in ceramic/glass process development Solid background in first principles of inorganic materials formulation and processing technology Data analysis and ability to correlate data to real-life applications. Hands-on experimental skills, including use of ceramic processing techniques and knowledge of analysis techniques. Ability to take ideas from concept to implementation with a strong emphasis on applications, scale up, piloting and plant trials. Prior experience with leading engineering project teams in formal project management systems Desired Skills Expertise in glass optical metrology methodologies Knowledge of metrology including but not limited to index measurement, dilatometry, and glass inclusion inspection Background in mechanical failure of inorganic solids Familiar and conscientious of clean processing of advanced materials Broad understanding of different ceramic processing technologies Structured problem-solving techniques and applied statistics Familiar with basics of manufacturing processes

The range for this position is $105,847.00 - $145,540.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
