In this role, you will work alongside a team of friendly, passionate, and creative product managers and developers to bring our products to market. You create product release plans that ensure our teams develop solutions using ADP's cloud-based AI and machine learning-enhanced payroll, tax, HR, talent, or benefits solutions. You'll make them easier to use and help our clients stay compliant, manage costs, and save time.

We're looking for someone who excels when no two days are the same. Integrity, resilience, and pushing the boundaries are must-haves in this job. Whether you're in meetings with clients or sales, developers, or design, you'll be the guiding voice that helps us clarify ideas so we can create a product roadmap. You stay close to market trends, anticipate our customers' next questions, and bring new ideas into the mix. You love evangelizing about your product and communicate with confidence. Still, you also have the experience to take your product into the marketplace and position it competitively for maximum financial impact.

To thrive in this role, you must take command of your product, lead multiple team's efforts, and be a deep listener who can ask the right clarifying questions to help understand the problem your stakeholders are trying to solve. You've worked with Agile teams and understand product delivery cycles. You have experience explaining the prioritization of a product roadmap, creating that roadmap, and documenting in a way that both external and internal teams will understand. You have held roles where you regularly communicate and defend ideas to a broad audience of stakeholders. Product Leadership and Impact: 

Own key components of the platform product roadmap and manage their execution from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.   Represent and speak to the product and its outcomes to stakeholders, including senior leadership  Work and accomplish goals with minimal level of guidance and direction.  Works positively and collaboratively with development, design, and business teams.  Support managing the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement), working day-to-day with the product SCRUM teams to clarify requirements balances business needs with technical requirements, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements as needed. 

 

Product Strategy and Go-To-Market 

Support product leadership strategy by contributing to and articulating the vision and mission of the product roadmap, including implementation and prioritization.   Serve as the central resource with design, process, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. 

Customer Experience and Market Orientation 

Define requirements by leveraging usability studies, business and product usage data, customer feedback, external industry trends, and metrics to generate insights.   Continuously understand competitors and the market, and to help identify new partnerships or acquisition targets to broaden or enhance a product portfolio.   Support the vision for the end-to-end customer experience journey from sign-up, setup, and usage through partnering with stakeholders.   Participate in customer feedback sessions to understand pain-points  Act as the user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholder and align all development activity with business goals and priorities  Collaborate with marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved.  

 

Measurable Outcome Focus 

Understands key business metrics and how product results impact them.   Clearly be able to articulate the vision, strategies, priorities, and desired outcomes to key partners across ADP.  Identifies and tracks KPIs to help measure key outcomes 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field  5+ years of experience in a B2B/B2C software and enterprise solutions product management role  Experience working with API’s, microservices, integrations, and platform technologies, and UI   Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior management stakeholders 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience in SaaS, platform-based web products or services a plus  Experience in building reusable, scalable, shared services from pilot to scale  Being a great storyteller - strong communication and presentation skills  Ability to explain complex information to others in a simplified way with internal stakeholders, i.e., engineering teams, senior leaders, to accomplish project goals.   Highly motivated to develop and acquire a high level of knowledge about product management, ADP customers and the marketplace.  Working knowledge of workplace regulations and processes is a plus  Prior experience conducting formal usability studies and developing web and integrated data experiences for clients, partners, developers, etc. is a plus  Prior experience working as a product owner in an agile development environment

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $61,800.00 - $165,330.00 / Year
