Senior Product Manager, Loans Lifecycle

As a Senior Product Manager on the Loans Lifecycle team, you will find yourself at the core of Affirm’s backend loan systems and the orchestration layers between the loan system and our front-end applications. You will be responsible for building foundational technology solutions on our Loans Platform that powers Affirm's loan processes, and our Order Platform, an abstraction layer decoupling the user’s checkout and their resulting loans, allowing for increased flexibility in introducing products with various financial instruments or payment methods. This role requires a deep understanding of complex data systems and APIs, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, compliance, and product teams to drive impactful solutions. You will lead efforts to enhance our platform's capabilities enabling expansion into new markets and product launches.

What you'll do

Solve ambiguous problems: Solve complex and ambiguous problems, define an execution strategy that balances short and long-term impact. Execute strategically to drive operational improvements to increase efficiency, stability, and scalability while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and compliance. Product Discovery and Opportunity Identification: Identify new product opportunities and set a comprehensive roadmap that’s informed by data analysis, qualitative research, and your own discovery. Loans Lifecycle Expert: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the lifecycle and associated behaviors of the loan, guiding product and business teams on best practices for working with our systems. Roadmap ownership: Define product objectives, partner with engineering and cross-functional partners to drive requirements, ultimately lead execution to launch key products and features.  Communication: As a senior member of the Product Management team, you’ll regularly communicate across product and engineering teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders, including frequently presenting to senior leadership.

What we look for

4+ years of product management experience, preferably working on platform products.

This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Highly analytical mindset, able to balance strategic thinking with a strong bias for action and hands-on problem-solving.

Proven track record of launching and managing high-impact products.

Outstanding written and verbal communication with a diverse stakeholder audience.

The ability to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.

Solid technical chops that allow you to have in depth technical discussions and opinions.

This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Equity Grade - 6


Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year: $150,000 - $200,000
