Senior Product Manager, Rider Personalization
**About the Role** In this role as the Senior Product Manager for Rider Personalization, you will collaborate closely with a talented team of machine learning engineers and data scientists. Your mission will be to enhance the personalization of the Rider app by leveraging advanced machine learning models to match the right products and experiences with the right riders at the right time. This pivotal role strikes a delicate balance between simplifying the booking process through intuitive UI/UX design and facilitating new product discovery through intelligent dynamic user experiences. Additionally, you will partner cross-functionally so that teams across Uber are working to deliver Riders a seamless and intuitive Uber experience while benefiting from an assistive and personalized app. As a result, your work will touch millions of riders a day, including the experiences of your friends and family. **What the Candidate Will Do** - Own and drive Rider Personalization product roadmap, strategy, and execution, ensuring alignment with Uber's overall vision and goals. - ​​Partner with data science, machine learning engineers, operations, and other Product Manager stakeholders to understand complex product needs and prioritize initiatives that will have the highest impact on user experience and business outcomes. - Work with product teams across the company to understand their use cases and evangelize our personalization frameworks, increasing their impact and improving user experiences. - Bring industry-leading best practices and thought leadership in machine learning and personalization to Uber, ensuring our systems are scalable, efficient, and robust. **Basic Qualifications** - Must have experience working with machine learning systems at scale in a production environment. - Minimum of 5 years Product Management experience delivering highly successful and innovative ML products. - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar. - Proven ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams, lead technical direction, and zoom out to set/communicate a broader vision. - Strong platform experience, capable of synthesizing a variety of use cases into cohesive, scalable solutions in collaboration with internal partners. **Preferred Qualifications** - Background in data, computer science, statistics, startups, or other relevant fields that will allow you to bring significant and diverse insights to the table. - Extensive experience in data analysis and experimentation – you can independently gather the data you need and can craft it into an enlightening story. You have experience crafting meaningful, thorough multivariate tests and experiments that will help you set product direction. - Proven experience in developing consumer-facing products and a deep understanding of the challenges and requirements for shipping products on a global scale. - A passion for efficiency and scalability, driving principles for balancing potentially conflicting priorities to achieve optimal outcomes. - Strong capacity to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$174,000 per year - USD$193,500 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
