OverviewRubrik is looking for an innovative, experienced Sr. Product Manager with a track record for driving new product capabilities from initial concept to successful delivery and market leadership. The Sr. Product Manager will join the Databases team and be responsible for guiding the future of database protection. We are looking for someone who has experience shipping enterprise-grade and cloud product(s). You will be partnering closely with customers, sales and engineering teams toward a common goal: delivering the industry’s best data management solution, on schedule and with high quality. As advocates for both our customers and our business, you will balance varied perspectives and lead cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day
You will be responsible for product roadmap and release management for open source and NoSQL databases on-premises and in the Cloud. Collaborate with engineering, support, design and marketing teams to plan, build and launch high-quality product experiences You will write PRDs, manage project execution, help create and define product roll-out strategy Process, review and interpret customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights Develop, manage and communicate the product roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders Perform market/competitive analysis, prioritize product features and clearly articulate decisions and tradeoffs Represent your product in front of customers in both pre and post sales situations Help identify and establish key technology and sales partnershipsRequirements
BS in Computer Science or Engineering MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred 3 years of extensive product leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people management and influence skills Prior experience in administering and/or developing solutions that require domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) Open source databases (Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.) PaaS databases (AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, Azure Cosmos db, etc.) Enterprise Data Backup & Recovery solutions Enterprise databases such as Oracle, DB2, Sybase Must have business acumen and ability to build business cases, communicate effectively with professionally done presentations and write-ups, influence others, and measure success Thorough knowledge of public cloud ecosystem and software development methods and processes Ability to be self-motivated towards the achievement and measurement of established goals Aptitude to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with both the client and internal staff members and to deal effectively with high velocity, fast growth work environmentsRubrik provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
