We are looking for a talented and creative problem solver to be a Sr. Product Manager at Oportun for Member Communications, delivering critical capabilities to bring engaging communications via a reliable and cost-effective communications platform.  Customer communications are critical to our marketing, originations, servicing, and collections experience. In this role, you will be responsible for driving initiatives to create and enhance capabilities of the Member Communications Platform, responsible for audience segmentation, data delivery, and ultimately delivery of omni-channel communications to Oportun customers. You will articulate product strategy, set objectives and key results, define roadmaps and work with the cross-functional team to deliver best-in-class solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

Scope and lead the development of new Member Communications product features with the goal of delivering engaging communications via a reliable and cost-effective communications platform Lead a high-performing cross-functional product team that includes engineering, marketing, data and others to implement and build new communications capabilities and increase communications reliability and scalability Drive strong collaboration and alignment up, down and sideways within the organization across a wide group of cross-functional stakeholders

 

REQUIREMENTS

Strong track record: 7+ years of product management experience in high-growth environments, with experience in the financial services industry (FinTech, challenger bank, etc.) highly preferred. Customer centric: You are passionate about improving the financial health of Oportun’s members, creating frictionless products, and enhancing agent experience. Analytical problem solver: You have experience working and delivering on complex problems.  You excel in making data-informed decisions (testing and experimentation, defining metrics, data analysis). Collaborative: You have a track record of shipping and iterating on impactful products that required partnering with and building consensus across a wide group of cross-functional partners. Excellent communicator: You are a clear and concise communicator, and you have superb documentation skills. Execution: You’re scrappy, solution-oriented, and able to help the team push through obstacles and blockers to deliver value for our members. Working knowledge of SQL. Experience working with a multi-national workforce. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or equivalent degree or experience
