Job Description

Senior Product Manager, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Jersey City, NJ:

Define and communicate product vision for overall Data Strategy in alignment with clients’ needs and overall Capital Markets (“CM”) goals. Collaborate with CM business stakeholders, Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS) IT teams and Enterprise teams to facilitate the broader adoption of the Data Strategy across Capital Markets. Create and maintain product roadmap for Data Hydration & Data Insights, outlining features and enhancements. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, competing products that can be leveraged to solve the Capital Markets business problems. Oversee entire product development life cycle, ensuring features are built and deployed in line with the client needs and that the overall product development is aligned with the organizations’ strategy. Define key performance indicators and regularly analyze product performance to make data-driven decisions. Reviewing and finalizing Business requirements for Data Strategy from various streams within QTS and Enterprise. Create functional specifications and functional design documents aligned with the existing data lake architecture.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $136,845.80 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and 3 years of work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in:

Creating and managing product roadmaps for data ingestion & transformation platforms outlining the platform’s features and future direction within the financial industry;Conducting market research to understand customer needs and market trends in order to solve Capital Markets business problems;Overseeing entire product development life cycle, ensuring features are built and deployed in line with the client needs and that the overall product development is aligned with the
organizations’ strategy;Performing data analysis on trading data including trades, executions, and orders and running SQL queries to identify anomalies, establish linkages, and define transformation rules;Identifying patterns and relationships between datasets in SQL, Spark SQL, Jupyter Notebook, and data visualization tools like Tableau; and,Data manipulation, aggregation, and analysis using programming languages including Python.

Must have 2 years of experience in:

Acting as a liaison between different teams including architecture, development, QA, UX designers and end clients; and,Cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure.

Must have 1 year of experience in managing projects running in Cloud.


Travel: International travel required up to 10%.

The base salary for this job is $136,845.80 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
