Direct impact on product engineering decisions based upon partner/customer experience and data. \#MSFTSecurity **Responsibilities** You will be part of the Security Pre-Intent CxE team, focusing on both Microsoft Defender Experts (DEX) and the broader Defender XDR ecosystem. In this capacity, you will collaborate with various product workloads and teams to identify new opportunities for at-scale solutions, accelerate customer adoption, and maximize the impact of these offerings. A key responsibility is to address the competitive landscape and shape the customer perception of both DEX and Defender XDR. You will share your expertise with field teams, support new business opportunities, and drive sales and adoption for these essential security services. You will develop and deliver educational collateral, webinars, and other enablement resources that empower field teams to articulate the value and best practices of DEX and Defender XDR. By gathering insights from the field, you will help refine and enhance these offerings to better align with evolving customer needs. As a Security Pre-Intent CxE Team member, you will build relationships with engineering, product management, and security research groups. Through these partnerships, you will drive measurable product enhancements for both DEX and Defender XDR, and create scalable, repeatable processes that enable customers to fully realize the value of Microsoft’s security solutions. **Qualifications** **Role Requirements:** + The candidate must have a solid technical sales background or extensive experience in field/customer-facing roles. + Customer focused with experience working with Global 500 companies. + Direct experience or deep knowledge of Managed Detection and Response offerings, specifically Microsoft Defender Experts or leading competing first-party MDR/MXDR solutions (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.) + Knowledge of our Microsoft Defender XDR components (including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, etc.) and how they integrate to provide holistic threat protection or in-depth knowledge with leading threat protection solutions (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.) **Preffered Requirements:** + Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, attacker techniques, defense strategies), including experience with detection and response methodologies. + Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, field sales, etc.) to align product capabilities with customer needs and market opportunities. + Ability to create technical demos, proof-of-concepts, and collateral that effectively communicate product capabilities and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CEH) demonstrating a solid foundation in security principles and hands-on expertise. + In-depth architect-level knowledge of Microsoft Threat Protection security offerings, expectation is level 300-400 on at least one of the workloads. **Further Requirements:** The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
