Senior Product Manager II - Identity: Authentication & Authorization

We are seeking a technical Senior Product Manager to create and drive the product vision, planning, and roadmap execution for the Authentication and Authorization teams as part of our Identity group. This is a platform role owning the services and primitives to authenticate users, as well the core services and experiences for authorization and collaboration across the platform. You will be focused on empowering Product & Engineering teams at Compass to solve sophisticated customer problems, leveraging your expertise in Identity standards and technologies (e.g. Auth0, OneLogin, Okta) and authorization patterns such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), Role Based Access Controls (RBAC), and Attribute Based Access Controls (ABAC), and Relationship Based Access Controls (ReBAC).

A successful candidate will be very organized, and thrive while managing several initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally, to deeply understand complex business use cases across product teams and bring those intuitively to life in the product. Understanding the big picture impact of decisions is your superpower and you seek to optimize for scalability and repeatability across your product area. Your communication skills are impeccable and you enjoy rallying stakeholders, including executives and larger groups, to find consensus and even compromise. You can think on the fly and not only apply but communicate and rationalize prioritization decisions.

Please Note: This role will be required to be in our Seattle Office 3x per week

Responsibilities  Develop the strategic vision and product roadmap for Authentication & Authorization Services, and lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to UX design, development, and launch to benefit our agents, their clients, and internal product and engineering users Act as Product Owner for the Authentication and Authorization teams, participating in all necessary team ceremonies in order to maintain shared understanding, stay on top of delivery goals, and make prioritization decisions. Be the product owner for all experiences related to authentication and authorization, key infrastructure products used by all of Compass, including driving sound technical and architectural decision to help us effectively scale for our customers Prioritize and allocate resources against a variety of initiatives touching many product and business teams across the Compass end-to-end platform based on customer feedback, business needs, and technical feasibility. Collaborate with UX, Engineering, and cross-functional business teams to identify scalable solutions, crafting detailed product requirements documents that lead to intuitive and valuable user experiences that are loved by our customers and staff. Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycles for Authentication and Authorization Teams, in partnership with Engineering, including gathering cross-functional inputs and determining resource prioritization. Qualifications 6+ years experience in product management roles building and launching platform tools and enablers products 2+ years experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, authorization, or security domains including strong knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML flows, and working knowledge of JWT, session management, and authorization patterns (ACLs, RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC). Strong collaboration skills with engineering, UX design, and engineering teams. Strong verbal and written communication that brings clarity and instills confidence. An ability to lead by influencing others, without the need to project formal authority, especially in cross-functional and executive settings Strong consensus and relationship-building skills, with experience marshaling resources across different functions of an organization Experience managing products at various stages of maturity, from legacy to greenfield Ability to understand complex data models and drive data quality improvements through technology and processes Ability to effectively gather and prioritize user requirements from disparate sources, going beyond users requests to get to key user needs, and the ability to rationalize across and resolve stakeholder differences Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment.

Compensation: The salary pay range for this position is $170,000 - $185,000 however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
