Your Mission

As a Senior Product Manager on the KYC Controls team at Wise, your mission is to set new standards for our global Know Your Customer (KYC) controls, ensuring they are both compliant, effective and customer-friendly. 

You will double down on either the Consumer (KYC) or the Business (KYB) segment of the  controls domain.

You will start by questioning the status quo. Then you will drive strategy, accelerate and unblock execution while fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. 

By safeguarding our customers' identities while maintaining compliance and rigorously improving control effectiveness, you play a pivotal role in supporting Wise’s growth and expansion on a global scale.

What you will do

Lead a cross-functional team of Engineers, Operations and Product Compliance Managers to deliver innovative KYC controls improvements, as well as new solutions.

Identify, define, and prioritise opportunities based on comprehensive understanding of customer needs, industry dynamics, and regulatory landscapes.

Become the subject-matter expert on all KYC/KYB related initiatives and projects, guiding teams on best practices and compliance strategies.

Leverage data to drive product strategy, establish key performance indicators, and improve the effectiveness of our KYC/KYB control suite.

Deeply understand either our business or consumer customer base, gathering insights through feedback, behavioural patterns, and key risk indicators to enhance the effectiveness of our KYC/KYB controls

Working closely with our dedicated KYC/KYB Experience teams to balance the need for effective controls with the imperative to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management to align on strategy, share progress on execution and integrate feedback.

 


Qualifications

What We’re Looking for

Strategic thinking: Proven ability to question the status quo. You have developed and implemented strategic initiatives that align with customer expectations and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated excellence in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders at a global scale. You have been driving alignment and collaboration between globally distributed teams.

Execution: Proven track record of executing across cross-functional teams. Your teams have had impact that did not simply move metrics, but lead to order of magnitude improvements.

Data Savvy: Strong analytical skills. You are comfortable pulling your own data, synthesising and leveraging it for quantitative research and decision-making.

Customer-Centric: Passionate about understanding and translating customer needs and feedback into product solutions. You are regularly talking to customers directly.

Effective Communicator: Excellent communication and presentation skills. You are great at conveying complex ideas seamlessly to diverse audiences.

Product ownership: Demonstrated experience of end to end customer journey ownership. You have not been solely consulting on product development or designing custom B2B solutions for a few large accounts, but owned customer journeys end to end.

Nice to have

Domain expertise: You have experience owning a wider range of  KYC/KYB controls, ideally across multiple jurisdictions as opposed to ownerning a single control (e.g.: ID document verification) for a niche customer segment.
