Job DescriptionThe Senior Product Manager will be responsible for expanding Visa’s Network Processing Platform. This role will involve launching new products and solutions that leverage industry standards and frameworks to enhance the overall efficiency and health of both the Issuer and Acceptance networks. The Senior Product Manager has ownership and accountability for introducing new processing technologies to the market, ensuring that Visa maintains its leadership position. This will involve engaging in all phases of the product lifecycle, including product management, strategy development, go-to-market planning, commercialization, pricing, and implementation.
This role requires a deep understanding of the payments industry, including card industry authorization, clearing and settlement operations, project management, business case development, and product lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
Product and Project Management:
Manage and execute on VisaNet Enhancement projects, ensuring that they align with business goals and Visa's overall strategy. This involves coordinating with various teams to ensure that the projects are moving in the right direction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify the needs for new products and services, regulatory requirements, and business opportunities to improve VisaNet's authorization, clearing, and settlement capabilities and services.
Manage and execute VisaNet Enhancement projects in collaboration with cross-functional global, regional, and local teams. Key activities will include:
Translating opportunities and market needs into VisaNet products and services enhancements design
Elaborating business proposals and creating comprehensive business cases.
Defining business requirements and designing the best implementation strategies.
Coordinating risk assessment processes to mitigate potential issues.
Developing and tracking detailed project plans, managing timelines, and controlling budgets.
Providing client and internal training on VisaNet Enhancements.
Facilitating regular project status meetings and communicating updates and requests to stakeholders and senior management.
Reviewing technical specifications to identify and address integration with other systems and services.
Performing program management in partnership with IT and other impacted areas' project managers.
Coordinating go-to-market plans with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project launches.
Product Strategy and Solution Design:
Deliver innovative and high-quality network product and platform processing solutions that target new business opportunities and expand the domestic processing footprint.
Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify potential areas for improvement and innovation.
Engage with stakeholders to map out their needs, opportunities, and expectations.
Develop use cases and define the best technologies and platforms for development.
Plan for scalability and performance to ensure that solutions can grow with the business.
Manage and execute on VisaNet new solutions development projects and go-to-market plans.
Establish support plans for ongoing maintenance and issue resolution to ensure long-term success.
Network Product Value-Added Services (VAS) Lifecycle Management:
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Network Product VAS. This includes conducting market and competitive analysis in partnership with global and regional teams.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with the best approach to introduce new and expand existing Network Product VAS.
Work closely with sales teams to drive the adoption and usage of VAS.
Provide training and second-level support for internal client support teams.
Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to address client requests and product enhancements.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of network product enhancements and VAS.
Prepare and present regular reports and analysis on the VAS lifecycle to ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and outcomes.
Processing Integrity and Data Quality Program Management:
Design the best approach for the local implementation of global processing integrity policies, procedures, and standards for data quality.
Track and monitor data quality program compliance mechanisms to ensure adherence to standards.
Generate data quality reports and dashboards for stakeholders to provide transparency and visibility.
Manage the communication of data quality standards, issues, and progress to stakeholders.
Provide training and resources to stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to data quality standards.
Ensure data quality processes comply with relevant regulations and local industry standards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the data quality program.
Manage the process for supporting clients in resolving data quality issues efficiently and effectively.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in card payment operations, product management, project management, or related roles within the payments or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex network product enhancement projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of VisaNet or similar payment network infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Fluency in English required.
