Supply Chain Optimization Technologies – Automated Inventory Management (SCOT AIM) ensures Amazon carries the right inventory for each product to drive optimal customer outcomes (availability and speed) and reduce cost to serve (inventory health and working capital). EU AIM team builds and operates advanced auditing capabilities to identify supply chain defects at scale, and drive their resolution, working closely with partner business and technical teams. As a Senior Product Manager-Tech, AMXL, your role will be to focus on Retail in-stock and overall placement (local in stock, ideal FC in stock) performance for the Special Handling network. You support the AMXL business and opertaions through the development of metrics and reporting solutions, data review and in-depth analysis. In partnership with inventory and operations planning, you will be responsible for building out the tools for analysis and data visualization as well as the processes to inform our business decisions and investments for growth. You will also provide advice and mentoring to BIEs and PMs and you are a key influencer in your team’s strategy development and will contribute significantly to team planning.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and managerial skills and can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivering results by applying and utilizing business insights and analytics. This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will minimize costs while continuing to maintain inventory efficiency and enabling high availability for CX. Done correctly, this role will impact and improve our customer experience by increasing the confidence and trust of our customers in that Amazon is the one, best option for ‘want it, click it, have it.’. This role will become the expert on Amazon’s best-in-class supply chain systems and leverage this to both develop new ways to benchmark success as well as drive continuous improvement to customer experience via improved inventory efficiency.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
• Increasing Retail in-stock and placement outcomes for large products through the identification and resolution of understock defects to support optimal CX.
• Developing actionable insights that relentlessly provide a better customer experience and hold functions accountable for improving their outcomes
• Work with Inventory Predictions, Sales & Operations Planning, Supply Chain and Category Leaders, In-Stock Managers, Engineering, Transportation experts, SCOT Functions, Product and Finance partners to provide solutions
• Mining and analyzing data for metrics and decision support, while applying high judgement
• Develop new insights and tools to understand the intent of the customer, and create 3-5 year roadmaps for scalable solution to improve inventory efficiency
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
