Manulife is seeking for an individual who loves to motivate teams to achieve a product vision, comfortable with business object modeling best practices and knowledgeable about cloud hosting, and translate requirements from multiple sources into one central prioritized backlog.

We are looking for someone with: 

BA or BSc in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering)Experience in data architecture, data modelling, and service-based architectureFirm knowledge of JIRA and ConfluenceExperience working in a related field.An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within in rapidly changing environmentAnalytical, ability to think strategically and creatively. Able to design roadmapsCreate well designed and thought out Jira Stories, Epics and Tasks that define scope and definition of doneExperimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes nextA capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvementGood organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasionGood verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomesPartners well with other squads, but tactfully protects their squad from distractions

On the job you will:

Owns the product backlog and feature prioritization processWorks with software development teams to define hypotheses, run experiments (surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, A/B testing), and analyze data to make decisions on features that influence the direction of the product (owner of product backlog)Leads agile teams to ensure that value is delivered to users through appropriate epicsDrives the product strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for the product (defines product goals)Acts as the voice of the customer in the definition of product; incorporates feedback from customer interviews and user researchLeads the ideation, design, and planning of the product; monitor and report on product KPIsProactively removes obstacles impacting success of sprints; manages key dependenciesWorks with strategic design to gain an understanding of use personas, pain points and journeysProvides insights into product, technology and market trendsDefines roadmaps and detailed user stories, and partner with engineering masters to enable delivery of prioritized featuresCollaborates with engineers & leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through softwareManages communication and delivery between design & engineering teamsSpecifies and effectively communicates requirements for current and future products
