What You'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s ECRM Enablement team, responsible for delivering enhancements to optimize frontline productivity and growth, aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. Reporting to the Director, Product Delivery, Salesforce, the Senior Product Owner will be accountable for executing on vision for ECRM, and delivering the product iterations that satisfies client needs and maximizes business value.  You are accountable for understanding needs of various stakeholders (line of business, legal, risk, security, and many other) and ensuring alignment across multiple partners. You will help define the roadmaps and capabilities that enable CIBC's objectives and the modernization of our customer relationship management platform. You are passionate about the intersection of business, design, and technology and strive to explore how financial services can become enjoyable digital experiences for our clients. You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are able to balance assertion and patience with perseverance. You are responsible for monitoring budget spend, benefits realization, and making choices that increase overall team efficiency.

 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed 

Product Management - Create and maintain a prioritized Product Backlog, working with stakeholders to develop a product vision that satisfies their requirements, curate user stories and feedback and prioritize work on those with maximum value. You will drive alignment with stakeholders, ensure that we are delivering the right initiatives at the right time and keeping our stakeholders engaged throughout the delivery life cycle. 

Know your user - has or can gain comprehensive insight into the needs of our users but position this against detailed knowledge of existing system design, understand competing needs and prioritize the right work packages, decisively set expectations in this space during communications with all stakeholders (executive & peers). 

Work with and drive alignment with stakeholders – assist product team in ensuring that we are delivering the right initiatives at the right time and keeping our stakeholders engaged throughout the delivery life cycle.  Understand and support the team in managing competing needs & priorities. 

Analytical - You will use your analytical skills to understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, develop recommendations, and lead implementations, often with minimal direction to respond to urgent business priorities. 

Drive user stories & product requirement creation – support product team in the development of product feature and user stories in a collaborative fashion with business system analysts, UX design, technology teams, lines of business and various members of the product team. 

Identify & document key processes and procedures – working closely with the product team and key stakeholders, serve as process subject matter expert for the assigned product, projects, and/or initiatives. 

Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. 

Who You Are

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, and/or a related field, and experience working in Product Management - developing and maintaining new products and services. It is an asset if you have a Masters/Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
