Your team
In our department (tribe) Daily Banking & Mobile Led, we recruit new customers and intensify the digital relationship with our 7 million existing customers. The tribe entails the products and processes associated with current accounts, savings accounts, onboarding of customers and billing. Hence, we are at the heart of the bank and provide in the daily financial needs of our customers. As a senior Product Owner (CJE) you play a crucial role in the Product Current Accounts (in-life), team Subscriptions. In the team you work together with other Customer Journey Experts, Pricing Marketeers, a Data analyst and IT engineers who are working on proposition, pricing, P&L, risk, and the IT systems. The team is responsible for the Subscription (package) strategy for the segment private individuals and its related customer journeys, manages the terms & conditions for private account holders and price changes.
Your challenge
Together with the team but also with other tribes, you will further develop and implement the Daily Banking Subscription Strategy for Private Individuals. The past few months we have put the dot on the horizon for our future packages. We really aim to offer packages that significantly differ from the past. From offering payment focused packages to more generic packages that really add value for our customers. This means we need to start developing a lot from scratch. You get the chance to represent our strategic, commercial ambitions on the hand while also being able to deliver a fantastic customer journey.
Your main responsibilities will be to drive the change:
On the one hand you take the lead in continuous refinement and development of the vision and strategy, and be a sparring partner for the team, the product lead and the program manager on several topics, managing stakeholders and tell a compelling change storyOn the other hand you are expected to execute the strategy: validate the packages and journeys with customers, develop the often complex journeys (multiple tribes and teams involved), from designing and refining to ensuring delivery within tight deadlinesWho are you?
A highly skilled professional with a minimum of 8 years work experience in a product management positionA proven track record in developing and positioning new products in financial industryCommercial acumen and affinity with ITStrong resilience: you are able to manage ambiguity and simplify complexityStrong analytical skills: you understand data and are able to translate complex analyses into simple and presentable information for senior managementSolid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholdersYou are a team-player and get energy from working in a dynamic environment.You can balance optimal customer value and profitability for ING (financial acumen is a plus)You are able to work on a high abstraction level but you also like to take on a pragmatic approach and execute the work yourselfYou have an academic working and thinking levelAre fluent in English (verbally and written) and in Dutch (prerequisite)What do we offer?
