We are hiring a Senior Product Software Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain a collection of applications that Wolters Kluwer clinicians and editorial teams use to create and maintain the core data used in our referential and embedded product lines. These editorial platforms operate in the Azure/AWS Cloud and play a vital role in providing accurate, timely, and meaningful information used to comprise our suite of products that serve our HealthCare community.
This role will be critical to delivering our business objectives by creating and maintaining internal editorial platform applications and underlying database structures and processes. We seek a talented, collaborative, high-energy senior developer who is hands-on and full stack. The ideal candidate will have experience in .Net technologies, C#, Angular, and Azure, designing and developing high-quality, scalable, reliable solutions.
Responsibilities:-
1. Hands-on coder.
2. Gather and document project requirements, create detailed backlogs in Jira, working with business and product owners
3. Analysis and Design – Transforms high-level design into low-level design and implementation.
4. Collaborate with an agile team that is passionate about utilizing emerging technologies and delivering high-quality and timely code
5. Work collaboratively with directors, managers, architects, security champions, and other engineers to estimate, design, code, deploy and support working software/technology components
6. Good understanding and experience following design patterns, test-driven development, and continuous integration practices
7. Perform peer code reviews and recommend best practices and standards for coding.
8. Build automated, scalable services and systems to power our growing Azure cloud infrastructure
Software prototyping and construction – Design, Build, and Modify existing business-tier components, Web applications, and database objects using Microsoft platform technologies (ASP.NET Web API) and Azure.
9. Validate proposed solutions and seek feedback from stakeholders
10. Perform unit and integration testing on all developed code – Create and execute unit and integration tests within the development lifecycle
11. Proactively benchmark application code to mitigate performance and scalability issues
12. Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control
13. Support and Troubleshooting – Assist the Operations Team with any environmental issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
14. Assist other cross teams with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components.
Technical Experience:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of extensive, hands-on experience with C#/.NET Core/SQL/Oracle
2. Experience with cloud technologies. Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Storage, Web apps, Key Vault, pipeline, App insights, and Monitoring) is a plus.
3. Experience with Angular
4. Experience working with “GIT” as source control and understanding the concepts around pull requests, branches, and repositories.
5. Experience with REST API/ Web API creation, consumption, and integration using Service Oriented Architecture.
6. Experience with unit test frameworks.
7. Experience with Linux and scripting is a plus
8. Must have Advanced experience in Object-oriented programming, data structures, dependency injection, and multithreading.
9. Experience in Agile Software Development.
10. Experience in Creating high-level and low-level design documentation.
11. Industry experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
12. Technology Certification is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
