Job description summary:
Team lead (Senior Product Supply NPI Professional) supporting Medium Tractor Products (MTP). In this role you will provide leadership and coordination to help ensure the success of multi-functional NPI teams.
You will also be responsible for leading MTP projects at Caterpillar’s facilities in Piracicaba, Brazil and East Peoria, US in addition to providing leadership support to regional EMSM NPI leads. You will work closely with new product introduction (NPI), Design team and Product Group source managers to understand sourcing requirements and drive sourcing strategy. You will play a key role in defining project requirements, coordinating, and supporting project execution, and delivering successful results that directly support MTP’s objectives. This is an important position in a dynamic, fast-paced team that will allow you to gain valuable experience and directly contribute to the long-term success of our business. In this role you will gain new skills and experiences while interfacing with all facets of product development including engineering, purchasing, supply chain, business resources, product support, manufacturing, aftermarket, and other parts of the organization.

Teamwork: Experience of leading cross-functional teams that span functions, locations and time zones. Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.Procurement: 5+ years of experience with procurement, supplier management, supply chain and/or purchasing. Ability to work with organizational strategies and practices and procurement systems and procedures.New Product Development: Knowledge of process, methodology, and strategies of New Product Development (NPI).Effective Communications: Strong communication and influencing skills to work with people from many different backgrounds, cultures and levels within the organization.Project Management: Extensive experience with project management strategies, the ability to plan, organize and monitor projects from conception through completion.Basic requirements:
Bachelor's degree.Advanced English.Top candidates will also have:
Black Belt Certification (Lean Six Sigma) or equivalent process improvement credentials.Strong cross-collaboration skills with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders toward common goals.A strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.Experience working with Medium Tractor Products or related heavy equipment products.New product development / introduction experience.Procurement systems and processes experience.Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.Additional Information:
This is an onsite position in Piracicaba, Brazil.Travel up to ~10% is possible.Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
