Here, you will make an impact by: + Product Sustainability Data Lead + Lead data gap closure to enable PIA to generate LCA information; + Serve as point person between division and Corporate on product sustainability; + Scope and manage non-conventional LCAs, Product Carbon Footprints, and Environmental Product Declarations; + Educate and guide CBT on Sustainable Value Commitments and potential marketing claims; + Coordinate responses to customer requests for sustainability data; + Facilitate Sustainability Circles to educate division on Sustainability topics + Product Engineer: + Develop product and process understanding of developing space film product(s); + Maintain product through required formulation and specification changes; + Ensure alignment with Business Supply Chain regarding experiments and production runs. + Collaborate with Packaging Solutions: + Establish legacy claims on recycled content of packaging + Advance Sustainable packaging efforts Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in chemistry, or chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution + Three (3) years of combined experience in a Sustainability related role in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Five (5) years of combined experience in a Sustainability related role in a private, public, government or military environment + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally + Excellent chemical and/or mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making + Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis + Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions + Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change + Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in chemistry, or chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution Work location: + 3M Center, Maplewood, MN + Hybrid (3 days in office) Travel: May include up to 20% domestic Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
