SENIOR TERMINAL ENGINEER – CONNECTION SYSTEMS

JOB LOCATION: SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN

 

Reporting to the Manager of Product Development, the Senior Product Terminal Engineer will be responsible for leading the engineering activity for assigned programs to ensure that products meet customer and company specifications and that program milestones are achieved. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the engineering process and for providing direction as required. Will typically be responsible for managing or leading a group of support engineers.


Work includes but not limited to:

Performing DFMEAs, material selection Managing FEA and making design changes Creating drawings, stack studies, DFMEA’s Support plant Oversee validation activities Service manual development

 

The Hour-by-Hour Task Breakdown with percentages:

40% Managing the development of 2D and 3D 10% Data management 30% Interaction/processing information 20% Meetings and reporting                                                                                                               

 

Your Qualifications:

Experience with terminal system product development (design attributes and industry specifications) Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding (cavity development). Ability to use CATIA, Solidworks or UG Able to work in a fast-paced environment Perform or support customer and Internal drawing releases.                                                                                                                                                 Self-motivated communicator Able to work within a diverse global team with varying levels of experience. Lead a team of designers and lab technicians to the desired project design goals. Able to follow APQP processes for project documentation   

 

Bonus If You Have:

Experience with benchmarking CATIA V5 design experience Experience with electrical connectors and BDU’s. Experience with benchmarking. Experience with FEA simulation
