Job Description

As a Senior Product Writer at SmartRecruiters, you will own our product content strategy, product documentation and Help Centre content. You will work closely with our Product Managers and Designers to ensure that in-product content is well-structured and effectively communicates the product's value to customers. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and customer support teams to create various types of content, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and online help resources. 

What you’ll be doing:

Conceptualize, structure, and craft clear and concise product documentation.Develop the product content strategy and associated writing style guidelines in partnership with the Product Design and Marketing teamsEmpower R&D team members to write clear and creative in-product content aligned with the SmartRecruiters voice and toneCollaborate with other teams and departments across the organization to craft new and improved content driven by user needs and real-world use casesEnable and encourage product managers, engineers, and designers to contribute to all aspects of our documentation and help them create content that ensures  customers understand the value of our productCollaborate with a wide variety of roles (e.g. R&D, Support, Customer Success, Product Marketing, GTM) to review and refine content, enhance product documentation workflows, and maintain the high quality of our documentation.  Adapt content for different audiences and mediums (help centre, presentations, release notes, product guides, etc.) Coordinate with product and enablement functions to ensure the timely delivery of release notes, updates, and other product-related technical informationOwn the customer-facing Help Centre and the associated relationship with the third-party vendorMaintain an organized repository of all documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and easily accessibleDevelop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps

QualificationsOur ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a writer in a B2B SaaS environmentNative-level reading, writing, and speaking English is a mustDemonstrated experience in writing high-quality product documentation, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and simple content for both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to effectively balance different priorities and actively collaborate with the R&D team to launch excellent products under tight deadlinesComfortable working through ambiguity, taking ownership of identifying problems, and creating solutionsHigh level of attention to detail and precisionProactive in collaborating and effectively communicating with team members across the companySelf-starter with an enthusiasm for diving deep into new technologies and continuously learning
