The Senior Production Maintenance Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for Perform the Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of varied electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.
This position is part of the Facilities & Production Equipment department located in Carlsbad, CA and will be working onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Facilities & Production team and report to the Manager of Facilities Management responsible to perform the Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of varied electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment throughout the plant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform the Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of varied electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment throughout the plant. Diagnose a wide variety of issues associated with Filling, Capping, Labeling, conveying and miscellaneous packaging equipment. This includes rebuilding mechanical equipment, working with sensors, barcode printers and readers, motors, controllers, pneumatics, vacuum pumps and venturi's.
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment, follow all written procedures and standard work. Utilize existing Computerized Maintenance Management System to document all activities, parts used, etc.
Be comfortable being assigned to various tasks that may be outside of their area of expertise and be willing to embrace continuing process and personal improvement.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associate's degree OR 3+ years of experience in related position.
Ability to work in a team to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety manufacturing equipment including cappers, labelers, and fillers
Ability to work in a regulatory environment, i.e. follow procedures, document all work and activities.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Familiarity and use of Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
Leadership skills
The hourly range for this role is $36 - $38 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
