Job Details:
Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs at Tyson Foods. Responsible for duties related to pre-op, sanitized checks, record keeping, performing bio-trace swabs, etc. Gain exposure and experience with HACCP and SSOP regulations. Ensures operational activities achieve and maintain compliance with applicable environmental laws. Performs the duties either personally or through direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.Checks sanitation operations regularly to ensure that processes, schedules, quality, and safety standard are maintained.Applies sanitation schedules to meet pre-op requirements.Directs sanitation and production associates with sanitary and chemical handling procedures.Investigates and reports on accidents and near misses and assures that site procedures are followed regarding safety and ergonomic issues.Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments and production needsInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations per Company and OSHA requirements.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Performs activities of workers supervised.Coordinate the integration of environmental concerns with other facility business, planning and operational functions.Perform regulatory tracking. A trained designee will be appointed by plant management to cover for absences or vacancies.Must be willing and able to write routine reports and correspondence.Must be willing and able to speak effectively before groups of Team Members of organization.Must be willing and able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Must be willing and able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Must be willing and able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Must be willing and able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The Team Member is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in Sanitation/Environmental studies.Experience: 5+ years of supervisor or management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.No sponsorship is available for this positionRelocation Assistance Eligible:
