Description
**General Summary:**
The Senior Production Control Planner is a highly visible position that works closely with Program Managers, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering and Inventory teams to drive materials in response to sales order and forecast requirements. They are responsible for managing their assigned programs to assure products are built in a timely manner to meet build schedule and customer requirements.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Reviews, analyzes, and responds to system generated material requirements (MRP) driven by product forecasts and program requirements.
+ Responsible for creating workorders and purchase requisitions in a timely manner to drive materials and manufacturing builds to meet required dates
+ Manages all assigned products by interfacing closely with Program Managers, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Engineering
+ Responsible for escalating any and all problems that may interfere with the ability to meet build plan
+ Drives all change orders through manufacturing and procurement to assure they are implemented in a timely manner and identifies impact to the build schedule
+ Responsible for program status reports to all stakeholders and schedules meeting accordingly to provide timely reviews and updates
+ Generates purchase requisitions for expensed items not driven through MRP
+ Assures that all parts/material requirements are satisfied.
+ May be assigned additional projects as required
**Job Requirements:**
+ Must be able to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization to provide status updates to the appropriate teams and management
+ Must have a clear understanding of MRP and analyzing and responding to output
+ Must have experience using Excel spreadsheets for analyzing and presenting clear and concise status updates
+ Must be strong in analytics in order to evaluate ever changing requirements within multiple products
+ Must be willing to assist in pulling kits and assisting in the stockroom when needed
**Education/Experience:**
+ High school diploma or undergraduate degree preferred
+ Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience working in manufacturing environment
**Computer Skills:**
+ Communication Applications
+ MS Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint or equivalent
+ Excel
+ MRP software
**Certificates and Licenses:**
APICS preferred but not required
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
This job has no supervisory or management responsibilities though oversight of junior personnel will be required.
