Senior Production Scheduler

Job Summary

The Senior Production Scheduler establishes, manages, reviews, and maintains the production schedules for both manufacturing sites (Oshkosh and Randolph WI) in the ASBU division of Regal Rexnord. This role ensures effective capacity plans, inventory requirements are understood, and shipments are made on time to meet the customer needs. The Senior Production Scheduler oversees the work of Inventory Control Systems Coordinators, or equivalent, and works with and/or provides direction to the Materials, Procurement, Manufacturing or Project Management teams as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the scheduling departments within ASBU, specifically the Oshkosh and Randolph WI sitesDevelop production plans and schedules that optimize resource utilization and meet customer delivery expectations for released and projected projects.Analyze production capacity and constraints to balance workload and adjust schedules as necessary.Coordinate with Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing, and Project Management to identify challenges and solutions to meet customer order fulfillment dates.Monitor project progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays, taking proactive measures to address themCommunicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders, including the Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing, and Project Management.Monitors and reports actual output versus the production plan to identify gaps and drive solutions.Maintains capacity plan including number of employees in each department and scheduled versus actual capacity.Ensures timely and accurate routing, printing and distribution of work orders and data entry of timecard progress to each work order if required by the siteAssists in determining Make/Buy for fabricated components based on specific capacity and capability if required by the sitePerforms all other duties and responsibilities, as required.Provides DRF for estimated projects and communicates effectively and timely with the applications, and sales team.Maintains and updates all applications when it comes to ship dates. (Visual, Cap Plan, and Google Doc’s)Coordinates with engineering on their schedule to align the schedule with manufacturingMay provide assistance to engineering for schedule support

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceProven experience as a planner/scheduler in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of production planning principles, scheduling techniques, and inventory managementExcellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
