You Are:
A Senior Program Manager who will lead our application rationalization efforts. In this role, you will oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of initiatives aimed at optimizing our application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, and enhancing operational efficiency.
The Opportunity:
· Develop and implement the overall vision and strategy for application rationalization aligned with organizational goals.
· Work closely with senior management, IT teams, and business units to gather requirements, identify pain points, and drive consensus on application priorities. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide updates.
· Conduct thorough assessments of the existing application portfolio, including usage, performance, and business value, to identify opportunities for consolidation, modernization, or retirement
· Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of rationalization projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction. Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives.
· Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize disruption during the rationalization process. Analyze hosting alternatives and recommend a migration strategy.
· Establish and promote best practices for application management, governance, and performance monitoring across the organization
· Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
· Create and present regular reports on project progress, outcomes, and key performance indicators to senior leadership.
What you need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
· At least 10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in application rationalization or portfolio management.
· Proven track record of leading large-scale application rationalization initiatives in a complex IT environment.
· Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, cloud solutions, and modern software development methodologies.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Experience with change management frameworks and methodologies.
· Familiarity with tools and platforms used for application assessment and rationalization.
Bonus points if:
· Master’s degree preferred.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: Overland Park, KS or Bellevue, WA (highly preferable)
Compensation Range: $156,000-$234,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
