What does the role look like?
The Senior Program Manager is the main focal point and interface between Collins Italy and the customers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination and accountability together with the ability to work and lead cross-functional teams.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality and on time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the program.Lead a team of Project and Program ManagersManage the programs in the short term and create a vision for the programs in the medium/long term.Manage program contractsRisk ManagementEnsure the on time development of the assigned programs, verifying they are compliant with the budget and formulating offers for any changes in the "scope of work"Ensure effective and efficient communication with the customer, enhance relationships ensuring timely and accurate answersMaintain accurate reporting on the program status, to both Site and Corporate organization, using appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfactionCoordinate inter-functional activities contributing to the achievement of the business goalsBe accountable for Recovery PlanningCoordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals working with other company departmentsSupport audit activities requested by customers.What will you bring to the role?
An engineering degree or management degreeA demonstrable background as a Senior Program Manager or Program Manager, working within a multi-national, complex matrix-based organizationA minimum of 5 years’ experience in product / industrial / engineering management, with at least 2 – 3 years’ managing complex, technical/manufacturing programsPassionate desire to excel against demanding customer expectationsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong business relationships with a diverse customer groupStrength of character, resolve and drive for results. Someone who enjoys working within a fast paced ever-evolving organizationExperience of interpreting, analyzing complex data sets, with ability to translate with ease into purposeful communicationsExperience of leading presentations to Senior Leaders and external customersExperience of managing challenging negotiations and achieving the desired outcomeProactivity, an individual who drives change and seeks opportunity for improvementsA passion to take ownership and deliver as both leader and member in a winning and supportive team environmentFocused on exceeding expectations and comfortable with working independentlyDesirable skills:
Demonstrable Continuous Improvement experience in a leadership role, within a manufacturing environmentExperience of materials and supply chain managementExperience ensuring multiple programs remain on time and in budgetAble to operate successfully at senior management levelBe comfortable with operating in a multi-site working environmentAbility to think creatively, wisely and apply your influential personalityHave experience of working within the Aerospace industryTravel:
Availability to short/medium duration travels, domestic and international is required
