Senior Program Manager - Responsible Sourcing

Microsoft Devices Operations (MDO) is looking for a motivated and experienced **Senior** **Program Manager- Responsible Sourcing** for the Devices Assurance and Program Operations team within Governance & Ethics based in Vietnam. This role will be critical to the team’s Responsible Sourcing Assurance and Sustainability impacts in Southeast Asia and is directly responsible for engaging Devices suppliers in line with the strategic priorities of the Governance & Ethics team. The role will provide opportunities to partner deeply with key sustainability and responsible sourcing stakeholders inside and outside of the company. This position is based in Vietnam and will report to the Director of Responsible Sourcing Assurance.

**Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will manage and execute regional Governance & Ethics priorities including supplier and stakeholder engagement and communication, working alongside supplier sustainability experts to influence responsible sourcing and supplier carbon reduction roadmaps and innovate across Devices manufacturing sites.
+ Work with the Governance & Ethics team to map, strategize, and implement a regional stakeholder engagement strategy with the intent to maintain an effective model for engagement that informs the Devices overall due diligence operation.
+ Drive initiatives with Microsoft’s prioritized Southeast Asia suppliers and lead Devices suppliers in setting, implementing, achieving, and reporting sustainability and responsible sourcing goals.
+ Responsible for maintaining supplier communication, and the overall management of regional supplier relationships to provide business insight on responsible sourcing and carbon reduction risk management, corrective, and preventive actions; lead supplier engagement process and execution; scheduling and leading supplier meetings.
+ Build relationships and engage with Devices suppliers on Governance & Ethics priorities, lead regional supplier trainings, and serve as an escalation point for compliance issues.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Studies/Science, Economics, Business, Political Science, or related field, with a solid understanding of responsible supply chains,
+ OR 7+ years’ experience in responsible sourcing programs, supply chain sustainability, or data science and/or sustainability analytics in a tech, hardware or consumer supply chain or product development environment.
+ 3+ years of sustainability experience of effectively designing and implementing regulatory requirements and sustainability into product and manufacturing environments requiring cross-group collaboration and implied authority.
+ 3+ years of relevant work experience in an international consultancy, organization, or private sector and experience with resolving human rights issues and/or sustainability issues.
+ Familiarity with the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights and relevant international due diligence laws and standards.
+ Advanced analytical skills to support the analysis and interpretation of sustainability impacts on businesses and value chains with advanced business/ technical writing, client communication and external presentation skills.
+ Solid data management and skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Excel and a mastery of PowerPoint communication.
+ Position requires fluency in English and Vietnamese.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of responsible supply chain initiatives and trends driving responsible supply chain agendas and/or with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and/or carbon accounting.
+ Knowledge of Carbon Free Electricity/Renewable Energy technologies and resources procurement, policies and development in the APAC region.
+ Structured and effective communicator that can shape and deliver messages to executive level and facilitate effective client engagements.
+ Ability to learn skills and develop knowledge in new subject areas related to product and supply chain sustainability issues.
+ Experience in the Electronic Manufacturing sector is considered an asset.
+ Understanding of Scope 3 Green House Gas (GHG) inventories and how they impact supplier programs is considered an asset.
