Accountable for the full lifecycle of Thermal Systems programs, associated products, and services from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans.  Assigned as the chair of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) accountable for managing the cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs.  Serves as the face of the organization to clients and customers.

What You Will Do

Accountable for all customer commitments including deliveries and financial performance

Manages changes of new functionality on multiple product lines and services

Interfaces with multiple customers or potential customers for various product lines and services, with moderate material impact to the enterprise

Ability to have a growing impact on customer satisfaction due to regular customer interface and project scope

Regularly influences and negotiates to achieve and/or exceed enterprise commitments

Will establish a medium to high level OEM/customer relationship

Has advanced, applied theory level knowledge of the management system

Leads complex teams with some matrixed responsibilities

Accountable for entire performance of the assigned value stream

Leads decision making for the IPTs and applies critical thinking where incomplete data exists

Develops internal and external networks and communicates vision to IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function 

Plans, directs, and monitors collateral budget and leads critically strategic value streams

Strategic R&D investments may span over 1-5 years, as appropriate

Provides inputs to the strategic plan for their specific project and has medium influence to SFP

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

Demonstrated program management experience

Experience with program management systems including manpower planning, program scheduling, cost controls and earned value management

Experience in operations and production flow management including supply chain oversight

Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and technical requirements

Knowledge of aerospace contracts

Experience with proposal preparation and customer negotiations preparation

Knowledge of aerospace policies, procedures and system requirements including quality, manufacturing and program management

Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
