We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Program/Product Quality Engineer with our Global Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Sensors (ISR) and Software team. This position is an onsite role at our Westford, MA location.

What You Will Do

Act as primary Quality focal for pod based ISR systems across one or multiple programs/customers.Act as Quality Cost Account Manager (CAM) for assigned programs and develop bid estimates for proposed programs utilizing Bid Master Web (BMW).Manage and drive resolution of Quality Notifications for assigned programs.Review contract deliverables and coordinate with program personnel and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for DD250 sell-off / customer acceptance.Serve as a program quality liaison for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.Working experience with Quality Management Systems, to include ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.Working experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with CORE or other Continuous Improvement Programs.Working experience using resources such as 5S, Process Mapping/Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Red X.Experience with Quality Notification process within SAP.Experience of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs).Experience using quality tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping).Experience with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control.Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, Design Failure Modes, and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and/or Control Plans.Experience interpreting technical drawings.Previous experience with optical ISR systems.Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102.Ability to comprehend and translate system requirements as well as contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.Ability to work as an individual contributor and in a dynamic team environment.Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
