As our Energy and Utility Business Unit continues to grow, we are in need for an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our expanding team based in Brisbane in our Milton office. This role will be reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner within the Energy and Utilities business specifically in the Power Projects business unit.

ABOUT YOU 

We are looking for our new Senior Project Accountant to join our team who thrives under pressure, is focussed on achieving results in an innovative, dynamic, fast-paced organisation, with strong communication with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities of the role include:

Partner with Managers to deliver strategic objectives and financial outcomes Supporting Operational team on delivering financial outcomes Collaborate with the management team in financial reporting, forecasting and planning Guide and coach team members on how to manage financial processes effectively Ensure all Project Valuation (PV) reporting, month end reporting & forecasting process is completed accurately and in a timely manner Ensure all Downer financial controls are in place and monitored across power projects Implementation of Downer’s Delegation of Financial Authority policy and adherence to the Downer Standard Supporting all external and internal audit processes in accordance with Downer Group’s finance and accounting policies Tertiary level qualification in Finance, Accounting or Commerce. Membership of CA or CPA (or equivalent)
