Essential responsibilities:
Analyze project costs and provide insights to support strategic decision-makingImplement and maintain cost control systems to ensure projects stay within budgetComprehend and communicate key commercial terms of project contracts to all relevant partiesEffectively report project financials and interpretations to leadership for decision-makingContribute to the development and implementation of collective agreements affecting project costsCollect and submit necessary documentation (e.g., statutory declarations, WCB clearance letters) for invoicingPrepare and submit Letters of Engagement/Monthly Invoices (LEMs) to clients in accordance with the termsGather third-party invoices to support accurate and timely client billingPrepare and submit monthly equipment rental billings, progress invoices, and manage holdback releasesProcess and reconcile electronic billing submissions, ensuring alignment with client billing systemsQualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar roleMust have a post-secondary business degreeMust have Experience within commercial construction, Telecom or a related industry is preferredMust have knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP is preferredWorking knowledge of construction methodsFinancial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysisWorking knowledge of construction accounting principlesWorking knowledge of construction software systemsStrong analytical skills and problem solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Work Conditions:
