Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.
We are hiring a Senior Project Architect to be responsible for cradle-to-grave execution of design and construction projects at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projectsIndependently coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a projectEstablish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on scheduleReview architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesPerform QA/QC and technical reviewsWrite and edit architectural specificationsCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change ordersIncorporate agreed-upon changes into project documentsLead projects in a dual management role as neededProvide construction contract administration as neededPossibly supervise project coordinatorsCoordinates and reviews engineering plans and specifications for compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensures that design formats comply with applicable guidanceEnsures daily job site construction inspections and inspection reports of several concurrent construction projects are conducted to monitor contractor compliance with engineering plans, specifications, contractual obligations, and governing laws and regulationsPerform other duties as needed#LI-JS6
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in ArchitectureExperience in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, science and research facilitiesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desiredKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max .Rhino and Grasshopper experienceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field A minimum of 10 years experience Registered Architect Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process Demonstrated graphic presentation skills Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
