GILBANE is seeking to hire a Sr Project Controls professional for our office in Concord, CA.

 

Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects?  Gilbane is seeking a Senior Project Controls Professional that is capable of fulfilling the cost and schedule requirements of multiple mid-sized projects or a singular large project, including day-to-day interface with project management, client and contractor personnel, while overseeing and developing junior level project controls staff. This role will sit primarily in the office.

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor cost control systems that accurately measure progress, performance, and forecast expenditures. Provide timely feedback to project and business unit management.Supervise the development, approval, and issuance of client and internal status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path. Motivate the project team to define corrective actions for implementation.Apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans.Be familiar with the development and application of Gilbane indirect and overhead rates to cost.Provide consistency between the project estimate, work breakdown structure, and project schedule.Estimate cost and cumulative impact of proposed design or construction changes.Support procurement by contributing to cost analysis for subcontractor pricing to determine whether pricing is fair-and- reasonable.Understand the risk register. Analyze risk to evaluate and forecast contingency requirements for management estimate reviews.Maintain and trend historical cost data from actual hours, costs, and pricing.Apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of estimate at completes and schedules when minimal information are available.Mentor more junior level staff on proper change control and time impact analysis procedures. Support the project team with change identification, documentation, schedule fragnets, and costing. Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

BS or AA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Architecture or related field5-10 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibilityOr equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Develop, implement and train on standard and project specific cost control procedures in accordance with the Division and/or Business Unit proceduresIdentify and communicate key cost issues to project/construction and operations management in a timely manner to allow corrective action to be implementedTutor and guide project controls staff in project controls fundamentals, procedures and guidelinesDeploy and modify project control systems as appropriate to support project specific execution requirementsImplement / effectively use / train on company-standard and industry- standard project controls tools and systems to include Primavera Products, MS Project, Deltek Acumen Fuse, etc.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For Concord, CA this ranges from $126,900.00-$174,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
