GILBANE has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support our upcoming project at Fort Smith, Arkansas.  This project will begin in early 2025.

environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking a Senior Project Engineer that will partner with the Project

Manager in establishing, distributing, routing plans and ensuring all information is being distributed properly both internally and externally. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities Manage RFI processPrepare front end documentsExpedite material deliveriesEstimate and process change ordersPrepare monthly pay request and prepare shop drawingsEstablish and manage schedule, cost and control proceduresBecome familiar with contracts, general conditions and flow down languagePerform constructability and coordination reviewsWrite scopes of work for all bid packages; assist with bid openings and bid tabulationsNegotiate changes with trades and owners; manage same processAssume responsibility for jobsite safetyProvide job site orientationFacilitate project meetings Qualifications

Experience/Education:

 

BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management8 or more years with CM/General Contractor Organization working on large ($70-$120 mm) construction project Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong technical and communication skills Excellent organizational skillsExcellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs Ability to work in a team environmentProficient in MicrosoG Office, ProcoreMust be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of constructionMust have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost controlMust have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitudeMust have experience supervising a project team OSHA 30 hour certified
