Senior Project Manager
Responsible for identifying, planning and managing scope, resources, schedule, budget and risk required to meet goals of large complex projects.

Lead the development of cost-benefit analysis, return on investment forecasts, project proposals, project charters, risk analysis, project schedules, and ensure actual results are tracked for large complex projects

Perform appropriate scope analysis and lessons learned

Develop and manage project schedules

Identify and establish stakeholders and appropriate project governance

Identify appropriate project team resources and ensure appropriate staff are secured

Develop and manage project budgets

Clearly communicate roles and expectations to project teams

Escalate issues to stakeholders and project teams and recommend solutions

Create and deliver information at appropriate level for audience, including presentations and status updates

Recognize risk triggers and clearly communicate situation to project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders

Regularly mentor and act as a resource to other Project Managers

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

4+ years leading all aspects of large complex projects

4+ years of experience with standard project management methodology, tools, and/or software packages

Demonstrated ability as a core decision-maker showing balanced consideration of business issues

Ability to drive results through informal authority, serve as a consultant to key business partners, and represent users and customers in every thought and interaction

Ability to elicit cooperation from Senior Management and other departments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills

Proven ability to effectively understand and communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups at all levels of the organization

Ability to identify, develop and gather necessary resources to complete a project

Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Preferred Skills

Space planning and construction implementation experience

PMP Certification

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here. 

Salary Ranges: $56,000.00 - $97,000.00
