This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size and/or complex to large projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution, especially in smaller units.Your main responsibilities are: • Working within cross functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered timely, on budget and meeting quality criteria.• Plan projects / Establish schedules / Modify when required.• Ensure Customer satisfaction and responsiveness to customers.• Assess/Manage and report project risks and opportunities.• Manage/lead project team to ensure project success and team spirit.• Manage change requests, prepare quotes/implement changes, with support from technical and other staff as required.

Qualifications for the role

Electrical or mechanical engineering university degree or technologist diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant project experience.Experience within the mining sector would be an asset.Strong written and spoken communication skills in English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.Strong leadership/interpersonal skills/Conflict resolution/Negotiation skills.Ability to manage/work with virtual (cross border/culture) teams.Understanding project finances & contracts.Experience in managing projects with installation or construction scope.Good leadership skills and ability to unite.PMP Certification would be an asset.Available to travel 10-20% for business trips of short durations.
