Faststream is working with an established and successful engineering company that pioneers new technology in the Marine and defense sector.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile projects within the Stabilisers and Naval Steering Gear UK division. As a key member of the management team, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery, strategic alignment, and financial outcomes of a diverse project portfolio. This role includes oversight of project lifecycles, from tendering and contractual negotiations to execution, handover, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of project success, ensuring alignment with company strategies in Sales, Sourcing, and Product

- Actively participate in tendering and negotiation phases, supporting project execution strategies that ensure profitable, high-quality delivery

- Establish project teams and foster collaboration across Sales, Operations, Global Customer Support, and Strategic SC

- Drive adherence to HSE & Quality standards, guaranteeing on-time, within-budget project completion

- Identify and manage risk throughout all project phases, consistently aligning outcomes with business strategy

- Lead resource allocation within Project Management, cultivating team development and effective project execution

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, nurturing trust and ensuring satisfaction from launch to project close-out

Key Accountabilities:

- Attend and support pre-bid reviews, offering insights that drive competitive, compliant project strategies

- Approve budgets, set contract goals, and empower Project Managers with the resources to meet company targets

- Collaborate with Sales and Global Customer Support teams to ensure smooth project handovers and timely, efficient service delivery

- Conduct continuous analysis and improvement initiatives, enhancing performance and supporting company-wide goals

Qualifications & Experience:

- Demonstrable experience in Project and Program Management (essential)

- Degree-level education or equivalent (essential)

- Proven track record in budget management, team leadership, and contract negotiation (essential)

- Experience in regulated marine industries and knowledge of classification societies
