Senior Project Manager
Job Title: Lead Project Manager

Job Description

Oversees all activities of project management and construction management of projects including Master Plan Phase, Procurement Phase, Pre-construction, Construction to final occupancy and close-out.

ResponsibilitiesAssume the lead in project meetings, supervise work of others including documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on action items of all participants.Serve as the primary contact and liaison for owner and principal partner entities regarding contracts, design, systems, procedures, and related deliverables.Develop project-specific procedures and documentation, consult with the owner on design and construction contracts, and related A/E systems for the project.Ensure contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with construction/project requirements.Obtain, maintain, and manage data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities.Represent owner, project, and related parties in public forums and meetings.Manage project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems, and project close-out.Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.Ensure project team adheres to safety standards.Manage bid phase services, as required by the client.Essential Skills10+ years of experience with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) and the American Construction Inspectors Association (ACIA).Proven track record of managing teams including leading, mentoring, and coordinating with various professionals.Experience managing large-scale projects, specifically those exceeding $10 million.Experience with public projects and working with public agencies.Experience with design-build projects overseeing both design and construction phases.Degree in engineering or a related technical field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in or for San Diego County.Experience with Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).Work Environment

The Project Manager will oversee the construction of a new tower for the Psychiatric Hospital of San Diego County, working as part of the owner's representative team. This role is fully on-site, ensuring effective management and coordination with the construction team. The position requires a commitment to a standard 40-hour work week, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As an owner's representative, you will focus on managing the project to ensure it meets the client's requirements. No direct interaction with residents or patients will allow you to concentrate entirely on project management tasks. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring good communication and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure the project's success.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $155000.00
