Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Lake Mary, FL
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee New Generation Services (NGS) projects from inception to completion. This role is responsible for the successful management, coordination, and execution of projects within the power generation sector. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all quality, safety, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:Project Management:
Lead and manage a single project with a value of $50M or more, or serve as Deputy Project Manager for larger projects or programs. Oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Facilitate regular communication with project teams, stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management regarding project health, risks, and status. Conduct after-action reviews and lessons learned, providing summaries and recommendations as needed.Risk & Issue Management:
Lead risk, issue, and opportunity identification, working with leadership to develop and execute mitigation strategies. Prepare and manage the project’s baseline income statement and coordinate cost reporting and analysis.Scheduling & Coordination:
Develop and oversee an integrated project schedule, ensuring all activities are completed on time and within budget. Monitor resource utilization and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on track.Change Management:
Drive scope expansion, develop change order technical and pricing strategies, and prepare execution plans. Manage formal change control processes to address changes in requirements, performance, cost, schedule, and technology.Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead a high-performance project team, providing coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution. Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and commitment to project goals. Facilitate scheduled project status meetings and ensure clear communication across teams.Project Close-Out:
Ensure smooth project close-out, including submission of warranty information, final payments, and project documentation. Finalize negotiations on claims, extra work, or change orders. Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Experience:
4-6 years of experience managing large-scale power generation projects. Experience with project management methodologies and best practices.Certifications:
PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to manage complex projects, schedules, and budgets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in risk management and issue resolution.
