Role description:
Due to recent project wins, we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our growing Civil Infrastructure team. Taking a lead role, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of medium to large-scale projects within the Transport infrastructure sector. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex civil projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
You will lead a talented project team, offering a customer centric perspective, while managing cost control, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance, fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused team culture, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The projects you manage will range in size and complexity, from urban intersection upgrades, corridor improvement design and approvals, to large-scale infrastructure works such as bridges, highways and major road upgrades . Your ability to navigate these challenges and deliver innovative solutions will drive your success.
Role accountabilities:Lead Arcadis and Joint Venture teams in the delivery of projects to meet client requirements for cost, time and quality; Lead, manage and mentor project teams to achieve outcomes that are both successful and enjoyable for both the client and our team;Implement and manage effective financial and project controls to enable monitoring, management and forecasting as appropriate; Drive project performance, service delivery, technical coordination and commercial outcomes; and Lead bids and tenders as required.Qualifications & Experience:First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned project management professional with strong ties to the transport industry and demonstrated credibility in a design consultancy environment. You will come to us with:
Relevant engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation;Postgraduate qualifications in business, finance or project management related areas an advantage;Extensive project management experience within the Australian Transport and Infrastructure market delivering Design and Construct (D&C) infrastructure projects within Transport infrastructure is essential;Your extensive knowledge in client development, industry experience and knowledge associated within delivery of Transport for NSW projects is essential; Experience in managing engineers, environmental planners, designers and drafters on major projects; Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse project costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost control measures;Experience with Construction phase services and site teams with an in-depth knowledge of local and national health and safety regulations, codes, and standards;Confidence when representing your employer to clients including the ability to manage challenging interactions and lead negotiations; Leading the coordination and delivery of successful multidisciplinary tenders; andA focus on building collaborative and influential relationships both internally and externally.Why Arcadis?
