We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC, has an in-office requirement of 1 to 3 days per week in our Vancouver office, and requires some travel outside of Canada for global projects. Our project managers lead teams of engineers, designers, and other project professionals to successfully deliver industrial plant projects to customers located around the world. You will be responsible for the performance of every phase of the projects from initiation through engineering, commissioning, start-up, and customer acceptance. This includes defining, planning, and controlling technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for contractual and corporate compliance. 

Responsibilities\:

Leading, coaching and directing multi-disciplined engineering & support teams in all phases of project execution on lump sum industrial plant and equipment supply projects. Prioritizing safety, well-being, and sustainability. Planning & prioritizing project tasks to minimize risk and to support the project schedule. Identifying and managing project and contractual risks and opportunities. Controlling and reporting project cost, schedule, progress, and performance to senior management. Delegating project tasks based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels. Developing relationships with customers and vendors. Negotiations with customers and vendors for the successful outcome of the project. Managing change management processes and project risk management. Maintaining comprehensive project documents and reports. *

What you will bring\:

Technical and Industry Experience\: 

Senior-level experience leading industrial plant projects and project teams, along with strong understanding of the project life cycle for engineering, procurement, and supply projects (lump sum EP/EPC/EPCM).  Knowledge of process equipment fabrication, construction, and site erection. Comprehensive understanding of project execution, project management and project control methodologies. Thorough understanding of project costs with the ability to read and interpret project cost and financial reports  A broad range of skills and experiences including leadership, team building, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, and project execution.  

 

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training\:

Required\:

Relevant post-secondary education in the field of Engineering from a recognized technical institution or university such as an Engineering Technology Diploma or Degree

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $175,000 to $210,000. Application of the pay band\: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
