Senior Project Manager
Our client is a leading global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, dedicated to solving complex challenges in water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and international development. SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - responsible for overseeing and managing engineering and procurement projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating multi-discipline engineering efforts, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Senior Project Engineer will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Employment Status: Independent Contractor (long-term employment)
Work Location: Vancouver, BC

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement project work plans and schedules, and coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables. Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure financial performance. Review and approve engineering designs and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Oversee the installation phase of projects, address issues during construction, and monitor project cost, progress, and schedules. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and manage client relationships for potential and existing projects.
Requirements: A related Engineering degree. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in engineering and procurement projects, preferably in infrastructure, mining and energy. Versatile and dynamic individuals who can manage 6-7 small projects simultaneously. Proficiency in engineering software tools and project management software. Strong communication and team management skills. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes. Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
