Position Specific Description

The Storage Integration team is looking for an innovative and dynamic Senior Project Manager who is passionate about battery energy storage systems. In this position you will be heavily involved with Renewable Development projects from beginning to end, to include exposure to cross functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You will be part of a growing team of experts who not only provide excellent inputs and analysis but are also customer service oriented with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Employees in this role are strong problem solvers, blending creative and analytical skills to solve current and future grid challenges. You will use utilize data from various internal and external sources to perform technical & market analysis and propose storage & hybrid solutions to support our customers’ evolving needs. You will be expected to work collaboratively with Developers, Originators, Land Services, Asset Onboarding, and technical SMEs to support RFPs, customer discussions, interconnection requests, and PPA negotiations. This role requires the ability to travel ~25% to support project/customer needs and will be based in Juno Beach, FL. 

 

Job duties

Supports battery energy storage system strategies through technical and market analysis Develops models and dashboards related to energy storage Tracks relevant industry trends and public intel related to energy storage contracting, project status and technology for competitive purposes Lead storage sizing exercise to support RFP and bilateral discussions Coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design review, resource analysis and legal review Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding prospecting, contracting, permitting,interconnection and policy making Assists in the construction of contractual arrangements for project development Participates in negotiating agreements with consultants and subcontractors Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Overview

Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new and enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost-effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Manages all aspects of the day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost-effective and competitive result Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations Responsible for managing multiple and complex projects  Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection Constructs contractual arrangements for project development Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad/GED Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Experience:  5+ years Preferred Qualifications None
